I have some of your books on my IPOD and over the holiday I was listening to \u201dThe Eye of the Oracle\u201d. I worked the holiday and Friday. Fortunately for me, my job allows for me to listen to audiobooks while I am working. While I was working quietly, I overheard someone in the lobby outside of my office complaining. I didn’t hear all the details and I didn’t want to. The tone said it all! I used to be a complainer and it took years to pray it out, scrape it out, chip it out, pray God would burn it out of me! I could feel it emanating from the next room trying to latch on me. Ugh.<\/p>\n
It rains a lot where I live and this time of year is particularly dismal. It is dark in the morning and dark when I get off work. I work in the basement of a hospital with no windows outside. I have to work at Morale. Honestly, just about every day for the past week we have had gray or dark, looming clouds taking over the sky. I just came back in from break and someone I walked with was griping about the rain. Rain, rain, rain. It is true. The rivers are swollen and yes, there is seemingly no end to it.<\/p>\n
On top of that add fog… I do not want to go back to being a complainer. I laughed when in the middle of all this, I heard Thygosi (spelling?) say to Makaidos, \u201dPraise the Maker!\u201d The phrase stood out to me and shook me loose from the grip trying to grab hold of me. I kept saying it over and over with whatever repetitive action I did. It was time to get off work and venture out into the steady downpour. Umbrella in hand I made a run for the car. I turned my wipers on intermittent and I laughed when the words came out as the wipers swooshed. They sounded like they said the same thing \u201dPraise the Maker\u201d. Lol! I needed this!<\/p>\n
It lifted me out of the garbage! All the way home I praised Him. I was exuberant when I arrived. I think I am still a kid at heart and God blesses my heart in His imaginative ways…I love your books! There were questions I had over things mentioned in the Word for years that I finally found peace and a semblance of understanding after hearing your stories. I know they are fiction, but I had never heard anyone address those issues before, not with the depth you did and I appreciate it. Thank you!
