Caitlin T. – My walk with Christ

My name is Caitlin.  My brother and I have read, and enjoyed, all of the books in the Dragons In Our Midst and Oracles of Fire series. I have also read Beyond the Reflections Edge and Eternity’s Edge. All of your books that  I have read have been beautifully written and have challenged me in my walk with Christ. Thank you for using your gift to honor GOD.
But to be honest, that is not the only reason I’m writing. I would like to know how you wrote your books so well. I mean, what techniques did you use? If you don’t mind me asking questions, could you please reply to this email and let me know? If you’re busy, it’s not very important and I don’t want to bother you.
Thank you again for writing those books, they’re like a little reminder of what an awesome GOD we serve. You have no idea what an encouragement your writing has been to me. I’m not Bonnie, and not near as eloquent as she is, so the best I can say is thank you. So I will. Thank you Brian Davis, for following the road that Yahweh set beneath your feet.

Lauren S. – Inspired me

Mr. Davis, the third book really inspired me to tell people about God and what He did for us. In Circles of Seven when Bonnie talked to Billy about heaven, it just made me cry! I felt so ashamed of myself. I knew that if I didn’t start telling people about Jesus, they wouldn’t go to that wonderful place. They’d go to hell.

So I went to my church on Sunday, and I picked up lots of tracks. And when I see someone, and God says, “Go give that person a tract!”, I go do it. Thanks Mr. Davis. I also let my best friends, Makenzie and Ricky, read them. Ricky read Raising Dragons, but Makenzie read all four books in the DIOM series! I love reading your books Mr. Davis! Thank you for writing them!

Lynne C. – Engaging, riveting

Dear Bryan,

Just had to write and tell you how very much I enjoyed ‘Dragons in our Midst’ series. My thirteen-year-old granddaughter handed me a pile of books and said “Gran, you have got to read these.” Well, of course I did – without hesitation. Any book that Emma recommends is sure to be good. Loving fantasy, SF and all things Arthurian certainly made the decision easy and found myself reluctantly putting the books away and switching my light off at 2am in an attempt to have enough sleep to survive the next day.

Your characters are engaging, the story line riveting and the Christian content obvious without using a sledgehammer. I am delighted to find Christian authors are actually writing in the fantasy genre and encouraging faith in Christ.

I am almost 65 years old and can’t wait to get my hands on ‘Oracles of Fire’ from our local Christian bookstore. DIOM has joined my favourite fantasy book list along with ‘Narnia’, ‘The Bloodstone Chronicles’, ‘The Restorer’ trilogy and ‘Merlin’s Wood’.

Thank you for encouraging our young people in their walk with Jesus.

May God bless your writing as you seek to serve Him.

Joana R. – Untouchable books

Dear Mr. Bryan Davis,

I have greatly enjoyed your books! So much that I was recommending them before I read them all! I still have not read Nightmare’s Edge but I know it will be spectacular! All your books have been so far! I can’t say enough how much I really enjoyed them. They are so much more than just a flat fantasy story. I think they gave me a new perspective on a lot of things, and I feel it has really strengthened my faith in God! Thanks for writing such a fantastically interesting and wonderful story based on Christian morals. You can hardly find that anywhere.

I am in the middle of writing my own book right now, and your stories have inspired me to continue to write and not give up!

I know you must get asked this all the time but, will you make movies of them? I mean, a lot of times, the movies don’t even come close to the books, but if you think it will be worth it, can you? I think I could get many more of my friends to watch a movie than read thousands of pages, no matter how much I tell them it is worth it!

Well, thank you again! I will continue to spread the word of your untouchable books!

Please write more!!!

Leanne H. – Unconditional love

Hello! It is not problem to type- it hardly takes any effort. And, I think it is important for authors to know their fans appreciate their books. Haha, who knows! It might just make that persons day!

I really did enjoy The Bones of Makaidos! It was one of my favorite books ever… and I have certainly read many books! I’ll be waiting to see how your ( possible ) new series will ( might ) come! I’m sure it will be just as great as your others. GOOD LUCK!!!

Your books have helped me! I’ve wanted to have a closer relationship with God and, your books… I don’t know. It drove me to him. The unconditional love and faith they have… I want that. So, I’m trying. I love your series- and I thank you fro writing them for they have given me something. They have given me a relationship that is more powerful than anyone on earth could give me. Thank you, Mr. Davis.

Ellen W. – Inspiring and uplifting

I just wanted to say thanks so much for your books. They have really changed my life, and I think Bones of Makaidos is by far the best book I have ever read, and I have read a lot of books! They are so inspiring and uplifting. My mom gave me Eye of the Oracle for Christmas in 2007. I loved it and every book since. Thanks!

Austin H. – Absolutely amazing series

Your absolutely amazing series have brought me closer to God.  I feel like these 8 books are the first books where I can actually laugh, cry, and feel the battle with the characters.  I had a quick question, also.  I just finished “The Bones of Makaidos”, and the end was a “fulfilling cliffhanger”, if there is a such thing.  I felt like you were leading up to an upcoming new series, where Billy’s and Bonnie’s two children are the main characters.  Is this true (like, are you thinking about doing this)?  If you hadn’t taken this into consideration, could you possibly do that?  I feel like I grow closer to God everytime you write a new word on a page : )  Thank you SO much for reading this and for drawing me closer to our Lord.

Pepper B. – Vivid, creative, and imaginative

I wanted to let you know that my 11 year old has read both your dragon series at least 4 times through -(except Bones of Makaidos which we just bought this weekend -but he’s almost 3/4 of the way through it)

I just started the Oracles of Fire series and am inspired. Your writing style is vivid, creative, and imaginative. I taste, feel, and experience the action along with the characters. Oh…to write like you! After I read the first chapter of Eye of the Oracle, I’ve gone back to the fantasy book I’m working on and thought….”Bryan Davis writes in color and I’m writing in black and white (with a few shades of pale blue) 😉 It’s been eye-opening and inspiring.

Thank you for your series and for your desire to tell the gospel in a new and inventive way.

Christian Fantasy Addict

Alright, I just finished The Bones of Makaidos.

That was just…awesome. I think this is your best book yet. I’m not sure I’ve ever been so pulled in by a book. I started it last night and then came back to it this morning. I really did purpose to go and do something else several times but before I knew it, I was back in my room reading. 🙂 It was really a terrific story.

You’ve created such authentic, godly characters I really almost feel I know them. Or wish I knew them. If I can ever grow to emulate the heroes you have created, I will have progressed quite a good deal. And, of course, then marry Bonnie’s third unknown triplet. 😀

I also particularly enjoyed the parts about a true Oracle of Fire and free will. I feel honored by what you wrote on the front of my book, “To a true Oracle of Fire.” I pray God will give me the strength to live up to this high calling.

Thank you so much for writing these books, Mr. Davis. As I finished the book, I couldn’t help kneeling down before God and just thanking Him for bringing these books into my life and leading me to your website, that I could come into contact with you. I have a hard time imagining where I would be in life right now if it hadn’t been for your books and for all the great advice you’ve given me. I have been blessed indeed to have been able to be influenced by a man of God such as yourself.

Keep writing. 🙂 I sense the spirit of God is upon you and your work. And, again, thank you.
